2009 Exams
The May, 2009 Exam window is May 11-25, 2009. Registration opens on November 18, 2009. The application submission deadline is January 13, 2009, and the deadline for the submission of verification documents to the APA’s Washington office is January 27, 2009. Annual Classroom Reviews

The Chapter co-hosts an AICP Exam Preparation Session with the Massachusetts and Rhode Island Chapters annually at the Southern New England Planning Conference. The next conference is scheduled for November 4 and 5, 2009 at Mohegan Sun.
AICP also holds an Annual AICP Exam Preparation session at its National Planning Conference. AICP CD Courses
The Chapter has purchased copies of the APA Chapter President's Council Study Manual for the 2007-2008 AICP Examination on CD. The CD is available free-of-charge to CCAPA members who are serious exam candidates.

Library Reference Desk
APA has suggested selected readings to help prepare candidates for the AICP Examination. The following readings from that list are available in a non-circulating folder in the Reference Room of the Meriden Public Library, 105 Miller Street, Meriden (across the street from City Hall):

AICP Exam Fee Scholarships
The AICP Scholarship Program offers assistance to one individual annually who may defer taking, or is unable to take, the AICP exam because of its high cost. Scholarship recipients pay reduced fees to AICP as follows:
- First time AICP applicants: $120 (combined $60 application and $60 exam fee)
- Previously approved AICP applicants: $60 (exam fee only)
Reduced AICP Exam Fee Scholarship Selection Criteria
Scholarship Selection Criteria. To qualify you must submit a written explanation of financial hardship (including financial hardship caused by a budget cutback in a firm or agency):
- Members of ethnic or racial minorities shall be given preference.
- The applicant selected will be otherwise unlikely to take the exam without the reduced fee.
- The applicant's employer will not subsidize the exam fee.
